I’m currently in the middle of recording four separate albums. What started as a curious experiment, recording singles in studios I’ve never worked in turned into making full records, each with its own character and production aesthetic. The songs chosen for each studio and producer just work and make sense, in their respective settings.
You can become isolated..on your own island. Having this production “team”, facilitates the creation of each song respectively.
Happy Hands Recording Club
is owned and run by Chuck Mauk. Chuck does all the engineering and tracking. He has played drums on all 3 of my solo albums and is intuitive with my sound desires on what we are capturing.
The team is comprised of life long friends and musicians, Chuck, Dave Johnson, who plays guitar and handles the songs release to streaming platforms duties is my right hand man. Producer and multi-instrumentalist, Gregg Leonard is handling the mixing and mastering as well as guitar and synthesizer tracking. The four of us have many albums completed, together. This new collection of songs, which I’m calling, Some Days has our seasoned team imprint all over them.

Bigfoot Studio
with Travis Geiman at the helm is where I am recording my Americana/rootsy/acoustic album, Red-Eyed and Blue.
The main sound is my acoustic guitars,
Ambient pedal steel guitar by Dave Cubbage and layered violin by Aaron Rutter. Travis is a young man with an old school soul, capturing these old time instruments in his beautiful space.

Guerilla Recording Studio
is Wade Paul’s playground.
We have been making the album, Forrest To Sea. Big guitar’s and bass. Wade is a drummer by trade. I show him the song and he pulls, usually 3 sampled loops then plays acoustic drums over. We’ve captured big sweeping guitars and synthesizers and manipulated tracks, setting up this grouping of songs. I can’t describe them. It’s a South Toledo nighttime escape.

Red Room Recording
with owner and producer, Jordan Barnett is the home of my fourth studio project..as of yet, untitled.
